Cleo Marie McGinty, 92, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018.  

Cleo was born September 22, 1925, in Jackson County, Missouri.  She spent much of her adult life making a beautiful and loving home for her three children and husband.  Cleo did work outside of the home for some time but was fortunate enough to enjoy many wonderful years of retirement with her husband, Dave. During her retirement years, she and Dave loved to travel and visit family. They also loved being surrounded by their grandchildren. Cleo was a devout Christian woman who enjoyed volunteering at her granddaughter’s elementary school and occasionally played the piano during Sunday service.  She and Dave never missed an opportunity to participate and teach during the summer Vacation Bible School. She loved to read and sew in her spare time as well. Cleo, like her husband Dave, loved to spoil her grandchildren any chance she got. Cleo and Dave were married nearly 70 years before being parted by death. She has gone home to her husband and daughter and will be greatly missed by those she left behind.

Cleo was preceded in death by her husband, David L. McGinty, and her daughter, Jennifer L. McGinty.  She is survived by her son, Dennis R. McGinty; her daughter, Francie Miller; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
