Clyde Arthur Michael, 93, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
Clyde was born April 13, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Clyde and Minnie (Harmon) Michael. He served his country in the United States Navy. Clyde was a Mason in the 50s and 60s and was a member of Sterling Acres Baptist Church. He held many jobs over the years, the most recent being a furniture salesman at Montgomery Ward. Clyde liked to stay active and was always doing something. He enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, bowling, skiing, square dancing, and going to garage sales. His favorite, though, was spending time at the lake and fishing.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Vivian Michael of the home; son, Dennis Michael and his wife Cheryl of Independence; four grandchildren: Dennis Michael, Kimberly Michael, Cristin Morgan, and Nicholas Michael; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
