Cody Jason Wasmer, 32, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27th at Country Meadow Baptist Church, 4901 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Kansas City, MO 64136; burial in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Cody was born October 4, 1984, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Phillip and Paula (Sharp) Wasmer. He was employed by the Mars Company, where he worked in the shipping and receiving department of the petcare division. Cody liked classic cars, fishing, playing pool, the Chiefs, and hanging out with his son, Carson.
His survivors include his parents, Phillip & Paula Wasmer of Odessa, MO; his son, Carson Wasmer of Independence; three brothers: Christopher Wasmer of Independence, Casey Wasmer (Amy) of Oak Grove, MO, and Corey Wasmer (Jennifer) of Independence; grandmother, Phyllis Sharp of Independence; three nephews; four nieces; and one great-niece.
