Collins F. Dyer, 91, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away September 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Collins was born October 19, 1921 in Virginia, Illinois, to Warren & Katheryn (Collins) Dyer.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.  Collins married Norma Long on November 19, 1945.  He worked as a manager at a NAPA auto parts store.  Collins lived on the Lake of the Ozarks for 18 years.  He was a member of 2 square dance clubs, the Ozark Lakers and Zig Zags.

Collins is survived by his wife Norma of the home; daughter Karron Purinton of Blue Springs, MO; two grandchildren: Stacey Purinton of Lenexa, KS, & Tiffany Purinton of Blue Springs, MO; one great-granddaughter, Sutton Purinton; and three nieces.
