Curtis Wade Colby, 68, of Independence, Missouri, passed away March 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 -6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17th at Summit Technology Campus, 777 NW Blue Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086.
Curtis was born October 7, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Wesley W. and Vivian L. (Kelley) Colby. He was a mechanic all of his life. Curtis had a passion for cars and racing. More recently, he enjoyed going to the Casinos and loved to fish.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and Keven Colby.
He is survived by his wife Karen of the home; son, Patrick Colby & wife Jessica of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter Malorie; grandson Ryan; and two sisters: Kathy Harker & husband Chris of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Colleen Fullerton & husband Mark of Lee’s Summit, MO.
