Dale J. Law


Dale J. Law, 89, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2012 at Monterey Park Nursing Home, Independence, MO. 

Dale was born November 9, 1922 in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Eula & Dutch Law.  He married Pauline Lamar on February 9, 1940.  They were married 62 years until her death.  Dale was a WWII Veteran, serving the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific.  He was able to visit the WWII Memorial as part of the Honor Guard.  When he returned, he became a self-employed contractor for 50 years.  He was a member of The Marine Corps League, American Legion, and Broadway Christian Church, serving as a Deacon.  Dale loved golf, horseshoes, archery, and reading Louis L’Amour books, but most of all he loved his family, giving them all his heart, humor, and time.  He was a true leader and role model for 3 generations of our family.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.  He is survived by three daughters: Sharon Law, Susie Phillips (John), & Pam Howard (Paul); nine grandchildren: Sherrie Brady, Paul Dornon, Johnny Phillips, Chad Rovenstine, Alison Gillette, Joe Phillips, JR Barnes, Sonya Gough, & Alex Howard; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Special thanks to the Waffle House group for all the love & friendship through the years, and to Crossroads Hospice.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; inurnment at Koger Cemetery, Grain Valley.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
