Daniel Ray Shepard, 57, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Friday, November 8, 2019. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13th also at the funeral home; burial following in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO.
Daniel Ray Shepard was born September 15, 1962 in Independence, MO to Jim & Norma Shepard. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1980. Shortly thereafter, Danny attended DeVry Institute where he graduated as an “Electronic Technician.” While attending DeVry, he married Linda Wessing on September 11, 1982. They were married for 37 years. After DeVry, Danny started his own business – “Accurate Satellite Services.” During those early years, Danny & Linda gave birth to their daughter, Amanda Margaret born on March 28, 1990. Danny eventually sold his business to his partner and joined the company, Toshiba, where he’s enjoyed working for the past 25 years. During his years at Toshiba he served as a trainer and service technician.
Danny will be sorely missed by his wife, Linda Shepard; daughter, Amanda Orton; son-in-law, Dustin Orton; grandson, Cooper Orton (age 16 months); his mother, Norma Shepard; sister, Rebecca Brimager; mother-in-law, Margaret Wessing; brother-in-laws, Rick Deihl, James Brimager, and Dan Brown; sister-in-laws, Caroline Deihl and Bernice Brown; and his dog, Skipper.
