David Allen Hanson age 78 of Independence passed away on Wednesday June 20, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 4, 2018 1:00 p.m. at the new Salem Funeral Home in Independence, MO. The family will greet guests from 12:30 p.m. till the start of the service.
David was born on September 19, 1939 in Chicago, IL. the son of J. Edward and Amy (Peterson) Hanson. He married Ruth Ann Hansen on November 21, 1964 she survives. David was a veteran of the US Navy and worked as a Dentist at KC Dental Center until his retirement. He was an avid reader and a history buff. He loved 50’s rock n roll good movies and going to the boat. Most of all David loved his family and will be deeply missed.
David is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Hanson, one son, Christopher Hanson of Blue Springs, MO. and two grandson’s Bradley Hanson of Grandview, MO and Michael Hanson of Blue Springs, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
