  1. Dave I thank you for being my friend!
I will always remember you and your friendship. Your encouragement and counsel will not be forgotten.

Slim Jim misses his Shorty and will never be the same without him.

  2. We had some really great times together!  You will be missed.  I’ll miss our greetings to each other.  Can’t wait to see you in Heaven.  I love ya, Son!! – Dennis Green

  3. As a teenager, I along with another friend played a lot of golf with Dave at the St. Joseph public course. He lived just a few blocks away from the course. We were the same age. He was the only younger person on the course with a pull cart. Soon after that I got one too.. that carrying a bag around sucked, pulling it was better. He was smart. We have truly lost one of the good guys in this world. RIP my friend. Your family is in my thoughts. – Tracy Waller

  4. Dave was a customer and friend for 25 years. Was really crazy how i would run into him all the time. Royals games, eating establishments. Stores. Even up in st joe visiting mom there would be dave. Was really weird how we would end up in the same place. Always enjoyed our visits and he was always smiling. Prayers to his family.

  5. I’m just so sad to hear about David passing away. I have looked for him for several years on the internet. Im not real good with that.
I was born in St Joseph. In 1950. My godparents were Lloyd and Barb Jackson. In fact i was named for Barbara. And i in turn begged them to name their son David. They were considering Forest. We kept in close contact with them until Barb passed away. The last time i saw David was at the funeral. After that i lost all contact with him. Im glad to see he married and had a son and daughter.
I always hoped to see him again. You definitely have my sympathy and prayers. If anyone wants to reach out to me my name is Barb Birkeness. Hannibal, Mo. Again im so sad to hear this.
