David H. Jennings


David Harrison Jennings, 93, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. Friday October 24, 2025 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

David lived a full and joyful life surrounded by family and friends. He loved swimming with his family, cooking and enjoying barbecue, fishing, and watching all kinds of sports. Known for his creativity in the kitchen, he even developed his own homemade ice cream recipe. After retiring, David spent countless hours in his woodworking shop, often accompanied by the sound of classic country music.

A proud veteran, David served as a sergeant during the Korean War and continued his service in the Army Reserve for eight years following his active duty. He worked for AT&T as a customer service technician for 39 years and was a dedicated member of the Communication Workers of America. He was also active in his community as a member of the Prairie Township Rescue.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dan; his daughter, Mara; and his brother-in-law, Ferrill Purdy. He is survived by his loving wife, Regina Jennings; daughter, Sindi (Faron) Snow; sister, ElLoise Purdy; and three stepsons: Sean Adams, Jeff Adams, Kevin Sidenstricker; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

  2. You were the best grandpa a girl could’ve had. One of my favorite things to do with you was helping clean the pool and putting in the chemicals in the mornings. Abby and I also loved stealing your candy from your “secret” candy stash, so thank you for all the candy. I already miss you so so much. I love you grandpa.
