
David Wesley Church, 63, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at his daughter’s home in Golden City, MO, after a three-year battle with cancer. A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
David was born February 1, 1957 to Issac Reu and Patricia Ann (Phillips) Church. He graduated from Oak Grove High School. David ran and operated his own mechanic shop for many years, while also working as a volunteer fireman. He eventually worked for the City of Oak Grove as a firefighter and later as the Fire Chief. David then continued working for the city as the City Building Inspector. He was an avid arrowhead collector/maker, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed spending much of his free time outdoors.
David’s survivors include three daughters: Angela Brewer and her husband Darren, of Webb City, MO, Connie Parker and her husband Chet, of Golden City, MO, and Victoria Faucett of Mt. Vernon, MO; one brother, Ben Church; seven grandchildren: Taylor Boehne, Harley Brewer, Audrey Parker, Jake Parker, Chloe Faucett, Lane Faucett, and Hannah Faucett; and one great-grandson, Jaxxon. Preceding David in death were his parents and his brother, James Church.
