Dean Francis Manning, 83, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Ozark, MO.  Services will be 1:30 pm Saturday, September 7th at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 pm at the church preceding the service.  Dean was born December 12, 1929, in Frankfort, SD, the son of John R. & Doris M. (Gavette) Manning.   He spent 20 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant.  Dean spent his life serving the Lord as a Pastor, a writer, a church builder, a Director of Missions, and an Evangelist.  He was married to Ruth (Matzket) Manning for 49 years before her death in 2003.  He married Donna M. (Donald) Massey on February 16, 2008 and they have faithfully served the Lord together for the last 5 1/2 years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. Dean was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth, son Gary in 2004, brother Maylan Manning &  sister Laurel Born. His survivors include his wife Donna of the home; 3 sons: Kenneth Manning (Pat) of Monroe, MI, Dale Manning (Margaret) of Breaux Bridge, LA, & Ronald Manning (Marion) of Alcester, SD; 3 daughters: Deanna Dluge (Don) of Chesterfield Township, MI, Julie Ornsby (Dick) of Rancho Bernado, CA, Edna Miesel of Frankfort, SD; and daughter-in-law Sue Manning of Redfield, SD; 2 step-sons: Mark Massey (Stacia) of Ozark, MO & Jim Massey (Emily) of Chevy Chase, MD, 2 step-daughters: Sherry Hockman (David) of Columbia, MO & Susan Parker (Stan) of Cypress, TX; 5 grandchildren: Sabrina, Robert, Beth, Katie, & Michael; 12 step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
