Dennis Calvin Negus, 61, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 16th at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs. Contributions may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital – Cancer Center.
Dennis was born December 26, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Calvin M. and Leona Florence (Ryan) Negus. He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving 2 years in Vietnam. Dennis was a mechanic at Owens-Corning Fiberglass, retiring after 38 years of service.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father.
His survivors include his wife, Catherine Negus of the home; son, Vince Negus & wife Linda of Cameron, MO; stepdaughter, Mary Thompson of TX; stepson, Kerry Conrad of MN; his mother, Leona Negus of Blue Springs; sister, Barbara Negus of Blue Springs; and seven grandchildren.
