Diana M. Crist, 65, of Blue Springs, MO, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16th in Fairview Cemetery, Cross Timbers, MO. The procession to the cemetery will begin at First Baptist Church in Cross Timbers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or your local Humane Society.
Diana was born July 14, 1947 in Independence, MO, to Estol R. & Maxine (Diehm) Marriott. She was strong and courageous Baptist by faith. Diana was a kind and selfless person who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 3 year-old grandson, Loren. She had a soft heart for animals and never met a dog or car she did not love.
Diana is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Crist on December 5, 2010, and her parents, Estol Marriott and Maxine Painter.
Her survivors include her daughter, Trina L. Rodgers & husband James M. of Blue Springs, MO; grandson, Loren J. Rodgers; two brothers, Oren Marriott & wife Judy, and Ross Marriott; sister, Joyce Carrender & husband Dale; and several nieces & nephews.
