Donald Ray Hibler, Sr. 80, of Bates City, MO passed away February 20, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral service will be 10:00a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the church. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Community Service League.
Donald was born February 7, 1934 in Brunswick, MO to Joseph & Bessie (Gates) Hibler. Donald married Joann “Jody” Hedrick on February 23, 1952. Donald was Vice President of Operations at Fike Corporation. Donald was a member of the Blue Springs Elk Lodge and belonged to the Elderbirds Camping Club.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph & Bessie Hibler and an infant son; grandson: Christopher Robinson.
Donald is survived by his wife Joann “Jody” Hibler of the home; 1 son: Donald Hibler, Jr. (Paula) of Bates City, MO; 3 daughters: Pam Robinson (Roger), Becky McPherson (Otis) both of Bates City, MO, Tammy Jo Vroom (John Billings) of Oak Grove, MO; 1 brother: Gail Hibler of Odessa, MO; 1 sister: Katherine Cowan of Sugar Creek, MO; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
