On August 2, 2019, Donald Waters, loving husband and father of two daughters passed away at the age of 70. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8th at Atherton Restoration Branch Church, 4910 N. Main Street, Independence, MO 64058. In lieu of flowers, Don requested donations go to Kansas City Hospice.
Don was born on March 25, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Glenn and Florence (Botdorf) Waters. He served in the United States Navy Reserves for 4 years, and he owned his own remodeling business, Square and Level Construction for 41 years. He raised 2 daughters, Tricia and Karyn and on May 8, 2004, he married the love of his life, Debi.
Don had a passion for collecting and restoring vintage cars. He was also an avid outdoorsman and was crazy about his cats. Don was known for the kind of man that would “give the shirt off his back” to anyone, he never knew a stranger, his fun sense of humor, infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Don was preceded in death by his father Glenn, mother Florence, sister Delores, and brother Bill. He is survived by his wife, Debi, his two daughters Tricia and Karyn, his brother Jack, step children, Angela, Erika and Mitch Larsen, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
