Our angel, Donna Lucille Speakman, 53, of Bates City, Missouri, got her wings Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12th at Concord Baptist Church, Bates City. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Donna was born January 25, 1964, in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Donald E. and Sandra L. (Smith) Lyon. She was a chenille operator for a graphic design company. Donna was a member of Concord Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, and her niece, Candice Robinson. Her survivors include her husband, Tommy Speakman of the home; three children: Sandra Bettinger (Robert) of Bates City, Tommy Speakman Jr. (Ashley) of Oak Grove, MO, and Shannon Speakman (Madilyn) of Bates City; her mother, Sandra Lyon of Bates City; one brother, Donald Lyon (Shannon) of Odessa, MO; three sisters: Tammy Goodman (Scott), Patricia Robinson (Bruce), and Bambi Brown (Cecil), all of Bates City; eleven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
