Donna Rae Batye, 74, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. Funeral services are being held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial following in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Donna was born on May 12, 1944 daughter of Donald and Maxine (Creech) Brody. She enjoyed riding horses and being outside and especially loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Batye; and brother, Craig Brody.
Her survivors include her 2 daughters, Kristi Lalumia of Lee’s Summit, MO and Jennifer Shy of Liberty, MO; son, Tim Lemport (JoAnn) of Holt Summit, MO; 9 grandchildren, Michelle Cornwell (Jared), Jennelle Lalumia, Danielle Lalumia, Dominick Lalumia, Jordan Washington, Tyler Hern, Donovan Shy, LeighAndra Wilbanks (Trenton) and Tanner Lemport; 7 great-grandchildren, Giana, Sal, Joseph, Anthony, Lucas, Gavin and Calvin; 2 sisters, Diane Duggan of Kansas City, MO and Nancy Henderson of Minneapolis; and brother, Dale Brody (Lavonne) of Blue Springs, MO.
