Dorothy Agnes Confere, 88, of Buckner, Missouri, passed away on May 11, 2020. Dorothy was born in Salem, Nebraska. She married Virgil Leo Confere.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo and one sister, Gertrude (Dolly) Craig, of Wichita, Kansas, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Virgil L. Confere, Jr., and one grandchild, her parents: Mabel and Benjamin Wells, brothers: Christopher, James, Walter and Donald Wells, sisters: Dora Hall, Ruth Hicks, Eva Oyler and Myrtle Heaton.
Dorothy excelled in her skill of cooking in a variety of restaurants in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Love of life glowed in her sense of humor. The holidays were as exciting for her as with the children that surrounded her, wearing costumes and handing out gifts and treats.
Dorothy was a fan of country music. She collected memorabilia when she attended the music concerts, and loved meeting and taking photos with the entertainers.
She has now floated up to heaven on the wings of a dove, which was also her favorite song, “Wings of a Dove” by Ferlin Husky. She will be greatly missed by family and special friends. A memorial celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
