Dorothy Frances Pierce, 95, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Oak Grove, MO, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son: Larry Pierce (Gwen); one granddaughter: Kimberly Hiatt (Fred); two great-grandsons: Cullen Hiatt & Clayton Hiatt; and one niece: Myrna Sue Mackay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pierce; her parents, Floyd & Lula (Jones) Strider; and two sisters, Geneva Johnson & Golden Anderson.
Her life’s enjoyment came from her family, many friends- both in Tennessee and Missouri- who we thank for the love and compassion they extended to her, and the thrill of a good card game.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the memorials may be made to either the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 169, Oak Grove, MO 64075 or to Children’s Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64108.
