Dorothy (Jernigan) Franks, 75, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley.
Dorothy was born on June 9, 1944 in Illinois, daughter of Calvin and Sylvia (Heilig) Jernigan. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards and board games, and being outdoors. Most of all she treasured spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert Franks Jr.; siblings, Jake Dickerson, Gerald Jernigan, Sherman Jernigan, Helen Vaughn, Clinton Dickerson and Mary Potts; and daughter, Kimberly Reagan.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Michael (Marcy) Tarrants of Blue Springs, MO; grandsons, Jeff Curtis, Kyle Curtis, Blake Tarrants and Trenton Tarrants; great-grandchildren, Kallie, Brandi, Lee, Michael, Hunter, and Nikkolia; and sister, Thelma Payne.
