Dorothy Maxine Sapp, 75, of Bates City, Missouri entered the gates of Heaven on February 3rd, 2014. She passed away surrounded by loving members of her family in Blue Springs, MO. Dorothy was born December 18, 1938 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was the daughter of Mildred Pauline Higby and Reuben Franklin Kline. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, Garold Allen Sapp Sr.; five children, Helen Carpenter, Diane Goppert, Teresa Blankenship, Veda Marie Sapp and Dewey Allen Sapp; one sister, Joanne Tarbell, one brother, Robert Kline. Dorothy’s surviving children are Vicky Carrott of St. Regis, MT, Antionette Brown of New York Mills, MN, Susan Prettyman of Albuquerque, NM, Garold Sapp, Jr. of Bates City, MO, Dorothy Shahan of Oak Grove, MO, and Rhonda Kropff of Blue Springs, MO. Dorothy’s surviving siblings are Richard Kline, Juanita Gillespie, Betty Nelson, Mary Jane Rotan and Barbara Gomez. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, aunt, grandmother, a gracious woman who was kind to everyone she knew. She was a true blessing to the lives of so many family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at CrossWay Bible Church, 701 NW Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO., 64015, 816-228-1411. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation.”
