
Douglas Brian Halphin, 48, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Doug was born February 14, 1973 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Carl D. and Becky V. (Shrader) Halphin. He was a proud member of the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Iraq war and Kuwait. Doug was a life member of the VFW Post 6603. He was a member of the local union 663 for 23 years and worked for J.E. Dunn Construction Company. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was never happier than when he was hunting and fishing with friends and family. Doug enjoyed his days as a Boy Scout where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was the recipient of the God and Country medal. He was loyal, kind and generous. Doug had a smile and sense of humor that was like no other. He would do absolutely anything for a friend, neighbor or family member in need. Doug was predeceased by his grandfathers, Joseph F. Halphin and Donald W. Shrader; grandmothers, Jean Shrader and Opal Halphin. He is survived to mourn his passing by his mother, Becky Halphin and father, Carl Halphin; wife, Shelly Halphin; daughters, Katy (Patrick) Lundquist and Abby Halphin; sons, Robert Halphin and Brian (Erin) Halphin; brother, David (Crystal) Halphin; nephews, Kole Halphin and Jakob Halphin. The world was truly a better place with Doug in it and he will forever be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
