Ella Ione Brockhouse, 90, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Maywood Terrace Living Center. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Ione was born June 9, 1926, in Kearney, Nebraska, the daughter of Lloyd and Maude (Buckner) Griffith. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, and loved being around people, especially kids. She also loved her lake house and boating on the lake.
Ione was preceded in death by her parents; one sister in infancy; and one sister, Nancy Helmuth.
Her survivors include two daughters: Janet Brockhouse-Morales & husband, Chris, of Blue Springs, MO, and Donna Tatum & husband, Jesse, of Montgomery, TX; one son, Larry Brockhouse of Gainesville, FL; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Because of weather and distance from our state we are unable to attend but we send our condolence to our cousins, Larry, Janet, and Donna.
