E. Larry Bennett, 75, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Shangri La Nursing & Rehab, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22nd at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to service time at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Disabled Veterans of America or Wayside Waifs.
Larry was born August 13, 1937, in Hunnewell, MO, the son of Earl L. and Ruth (Dye) Bennett. He was an electrical engineer for KCP&L and Boeing in Wichita, KS, retiring in 1999. Larry was a member of the Keytesville Masonic Lodge, the Ararat Temple in Kansas City, MO in the Mounted Guard Unit, the Scottish Rite, the NRA, and the United Methodist Church of Oak Grove.
His survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Doug & Marlena Bennett, and two grandsons, Evan & Ryan Bennett, all of Springfield, MO; and companion, Mary Alice Craig of the home.
