Edgar Lee Baucom Jr., 73, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 20th at the Oak Grove Restoration Branch Church. Ed was born January 12, 1944, in Miami Beach, Florida, the son of Edgar Lee Sr. and Mary Ellen (Haney) Baucom. He grew up in an Air Force family and lived in numerous countries. He was very active in Boy Scouts of America, and was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Ed was an airplane enthusiast who attended OshKosh/Air Venture for several decades. He also served as an officer in various local flight related organizations.

Ed is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Baucom of the home; two daughters: Andrea Lane (Darren) of Pleasant Hope, MO, and Carin Smutny (Troy) of Blue Springs, MO; six granddaughters: Ellie, Karleigh, & Rylee Lane, and Abby, Josie, & Livie Smutny; and numerous extended family and friends.
