Eric Logan Day died unexpectedly on April 3, 2019 at the age of 31 while at his workplace in Fenton, MO. Visitation will be held from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO, on Monday, April 8th, with a short service following at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Les Collins.
Eric was born on May 10, 1987 in Kansas City, MO, to Jeff Day and Bonnie Miller. He lived most of his life in the Kansas City area and attended Truman High School in Independence, MO. Eric later moved to Imperial, MO, and worked as a forklift driver at DAP Productions. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears, drawing, dancing and performing, cooking, and spending time with his children.
Eric had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. He was quite the comedian and loved to make people laugh. Eric was truly a family man and forever will be his “Granny’s Boy”. His mother is thankful for the relationship they shared and the 5 precious grandchildren he gave her. Eric will be loved and missed dearly by his family and friends. His favorite quote from Grandpa Collins was, “It’s not the death I fear, but the loved ones I leave behind.”
Eric is survived by his mother Bonnie Miller, stepfather Rick Miller, and father Jeff Day; children with Shelby Day: Cameron (10), Logan McKayla (8), Jaxon (6), and Colin (4); child with Tia St. Clair, Lela Day (1); grandparents: Richard and Beverly Ross, and Jim and Jolynn Day; half-siblings, Devin and Autumn Day; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Gary Jones, and his great-grandparents.
