Erma Davis, 92, of, Grain Valley, MO passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2012 at Royer Funeral Home; Grain Valley. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the funeral home; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO.
Erma was born November 21, 1919 to Clay & Emma Pearl (King) Jones in Peel, Arkansas. On July 27, 1946, in Independence, MO she married Zedric E. Davis, from Hardy, Arkansas. She was a housewife and mother that loved baking, her flower and vegetable gardens and making quilts. Erma worked many years in the food service industry. After 15 years of service she retired from Lake City Ammunition Plant. She was a Member of the Restoration Branch of Jesus Christ Church.
Erma was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Zedric Davis; 1 son: Leon Davis.
Erma is survived by 1 daughter: Sharon Bessenbacher & husband Mike of Grain Valley, MO; 1 sister: Gertha Morton of Springfield, MO; 2 sister in laws: Odelia Davis, Retha Davis both of Independence, MO; 4 grandchildren: Teresa Cox, Johnny Cox and wife Jessica, Jeff Davis and wife Kim, Aaron Davis; 7 great-grandchildren: Courtney and Brittany Cox, Kyler and Keegan Davis, Bridgette, Kaitlin and Lindsey Conn; 2 great-great-grandsons, and many other family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.
