Eugene Tolen Wayman, 92, passed away March 8, 2015. He was born near Rothville, MO, on June 19, 1922 son of Ara W. and Olive Wayman. He graduated from Rothville High School in 1940. He joined the U.S. Navy in Sept 1942 and spent 2 years at Pensacola, FL a sgunnery; then training in a squadron for over-seas duty during World War II. He was discharged March 11, 1946, with rank of AOM 1/c U.S. N. R.

His favorite work was farming. He enjoyed traveling and following Gospel Music Concerts.

He married Virginia Williams on Dec 29, 1949. Survivors include his wife Virginia of the home, one son, Gary L. Wayman (Sandy) Roseville, CA, one daughter Nancy Clark, Belton, MO, 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Sam Wayman and son-in-law, David Clark. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 12, 2015. Visitation will be 12:00 noon, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Trintiy Church of the Nazarene, 19800 Truman Road, Indep, MO, 2 miles east of 291 Hwy. Burial in New Salem Cemetery with Military Honors.
