Faye Katzer, 78, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at New Haven Nursing Home, Odessa, Missouri. Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15th at St. Jude Catholic Church in Oak Grove, with visitation following from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17th at St. John’s Catholic Church in Greely, Kansas; burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
Lucy was born May 23, 1938, in Bush City, Kansas, the daughter of Milton and Edna (Conner) Croan. She was retired from the I.R.S. Lucy was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the Alter Society, and the CCW. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome Katzer of the home; two daughters: Angela Katzer (Anthony Wroblewski) of Independence, MO, and Charlene Evans (David) of Kansas City; three sons: Joseph Katzer of Independence, Patrick Katzer of Gladstone, MO, and Christopher Katzer of Independence; two brothers: Roy Croan (Sharon) of Spring Hill, KS, and Don Croan (Sharen) of Osawatomie, KS; six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
