Frances Daughtery


Frances “Frankey” Daugherty, 67, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Frankey was born August 9, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of John W. and Anna (Patterson) Killion. Frankey married David on August 6, 1977.  She worked for over 20 years at the Fort Osage Career and Technology Center.  Frankey was also heavily involved in the Ft. Osage Church of the Nazarene.  She and David enjoyed traveling after they had both retired.  Their last big trip was a cruise to Alaska for their 43rd anniversary and Frankey’s birthday.

Frankey was preceded in death by her parents, husband David and brother, Charles Killion.

Her survivors include her son, Jason Daugherty (Audrey) of Independence; brother, John Killion; 2 sisters: Kathy (Bud) Cline and Milli Sinclair; 27 nieces & nephews: Bri, Micah, Bryon, Eric, Sean, Leslie, Sarah, Donna, Samantha, Robin, Mike, Michelle, Jennifer, Howard, Sheila, Danelle, Ann, Mary, Janet, Roger, Russell, Ron, Randy, David, Dennis, Carmen, and Shawn; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Frankey and David will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 10th at Fort Osage Church of the Nazarene in Independence, MO.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

  1. Ben and I really enjoyed working with Frankey at Sears ; she had a wonderful sense of humor and sassy attitude. We were very sad to hear she and David passed away. Our condolences to their loved ones. Ben and Mary Fleming
