Frances R. Krzoska


Frances Roberta (Brockman) Krzoska, 83, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23rd in Corder Calvary Cemetery, Corder, MO.

Frances was born January 28, 1938, in Sedalia, Missouri, the youngest daughter of Everett A. and Dorothy H. (Stone) Brockman.  She grew up in Pleasant Green, MO, and graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia in 1955.  Frances worked at Levi-Strauss in Sedalia, King Radio in Grandview, MO, and lived in Fountain City, WI.  When she returned to Missouri, her niece Shelia Howard was able to care for her while she lived at New Haven in Odessa since 2014.  Frances liked to tell jokes that made everyone laugh, enjoyed painting landscapes and animals, and enjoyed playing dominoes with her dear friends Mary Helen, and Warren and Jeanie Hunting.  She also became close with Trisha Lynn who is the nurse that took care of her.

Frances married Wesley “Swede” Nelson on August 7, 1955 and he preceded her in death, along with her parents, 8 siblings, and 3 husbands.  Her survivors include two children: Michael E. Nelson and Carrie F. Gifford; 9 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.
