Geraldine “Gerri” Williams

Geraldine “Gerri” I. Williams, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at her home in Grain Valley, Missouri.

Gerri was 88 years young. She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, graduating from Rosedale High School in 1955. Gerri was loved by all. Gerri was a stamp collector, a Hallmark ornament collector, a coin collector. She compiled a massive genealogical history of her family line and her husband Doyle’s family line, one that stretched back to 400-500 AD. She was curious and loved to travel. She knew how to perform a version of the Hawaiian hula dance. She had a mischievous streak, and you could tell something was coming when she had a certain twinkle in her eye. She attended World Series games, and loved cheering on the Chiefs and Royals.  She was a long-time volunteer at Hallmark Kaleidoscope, earning the love of many children and staff.  And that smile…it was a smile that you never forget.

Gerri leaves behind her husband Doyle, five sons (Dan, Chuck, David, Gene and Chris), and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. All have succeeded in life, and Doyle and Gerri are extremely proud of them all.

Gerri is preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Elmer Taylor, and her in-laws George and Elsie Williams.

  1. Doyle, I am so sorry for you and the boys at Gerri‘s passing, but I know heaven is a little brighter because she’s there now. No more worrying about falling or all the many task she like to be involved in. You’re in my thoughts and prayers. And if you need a listening year, I’ve got two. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
