Glenn Edwin “Moose” Marion II, 66, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Blue Springs, A private funeral service will be held Monday, December 18th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. He will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association, both in care of Royer Funeral Home, 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, MO 64029.
Moose was born on January 10, 1940, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Glenn E. and Helen (Bassett) Marion. He was a 1959 graduate of Lafayette High School, St. Joseph. He married Elizabeth A. Estes on June 19, 1959. Moose owned and operated Marion’s Genuine Ford Garage in Grain Valley, where he sold antique auto parts for 388 years. He was a member of KC Customs Car Club. Moose was also proud to serve in the United States Air Force Reserve.
His survivors include his wife of 47 years: Liz Marion of the home; one son: Steve Marion and his wife, Katie of Flower Mound, TX; one daughter: Melissa Odom and her husband, Mark of Covington, LA; five grandchildren: Micah & Morgan Odom, Emily, Kelley & Matt Marion; one brother: Norman Marion of San Diego, CA; and several cousins.
