Jackie O. Glenn


Jackie Olen Glenn, 63, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018.  The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2nd at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.

Jackie was born October 18, 1954, in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Olen and Dorothy (Pugh) Glenn.  He was a 28-year Army Veteran and worked for the Police Dept. in Pittsburg, KS.  Jackie was a member of the American Legion in Oak Grove and of the Leavenworth Bass Club.  He loved guns, fishing, and America.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Jack and Frances Oldham. 

His survivors include his wife, Kim Glenn of the home; three daughters: Amanda Toma of Riverside, MO, Alysse Toma (fiancé Tyler Marcum) of Kingsville, MO, and Kathryn Young (Derrek) of Gardner, KS; three granddaughters; three grandsons; one brother, Charles Thompson (Brenda) of Pittsburg; uncle, Virgil Glenn (Shirley) of Pittsburg; and a host of extended family.

  1. I am the current secretary of the Leavenworth Bass Club and have been a member since around 2001. I was not privileged to know Jackie but several of the long time members remember him fondly as a good fisherman and one of the good guys.   4. I served w Jack in the Kansas Army National Guard and later became acquainted w him some 20 years later. He was a good man and very devoted to our country. RIP
