James Ray Lyon, 69, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
James was born on December 2, 1949 in Stoutland, MO, son of Sherman and Floy (Lee) Lyon. He was a lead man in the body shop for Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and retired on December 16, 2011. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and anything that dealt with cars.
His survivors include his daughter, Gaylen Webber (Paul) of Pleasant Hill; grandson, Cole Webber; and brother, Pete Lyon (Debbie) of Blue Springs, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Dorothy Barcher, Donald Lyon, Bob Lyon, Larry Lyon and Judy Lunceford.
