James W. Perry left his eathly home for his heavenly one, to be with the Lord and family and friends. James was born January 4, 1922 and died August 25, 2006. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 31 years. He was a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp and served in the Pacific. James was a member of Cross Creek Baptist Mission and a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Betty, of 65 years; daughter, Carole Leap of Grain Valley, MO; son Rick Perry & wife of St. Louis, MO; brother, Lee Perry & wife Judy, of Richmond, MO; 7 grandchildren, Lisa Perry, Wendy Borowski, Rusty Perry, Kim Leap, Stephanie Perry, Melissa Heath, and Joe Perry; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are son, Jack Perry; brother, Kenny Perry; son-in-law, Jack Leap; grandson, Kevin Perry; and parents, Russ and Ann Perry.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley.

Among many well-wishers are numerous nieces and nephews and two special loved ones, Maddie and Hannah, say “Goodbye, Old Man. We Love You.”
