Janet Sue Hendren, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away May 16, 2019.

Service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday May 21, 2019 at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church-Blue Springs Campus 3609 SW State Route 7, Blue Springs, MO 64014

Janet was born August 17, 1938 in Bethany, MO to Bill & Verna (Mayfield) Williams. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and of Lee’s Summit-Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. Janet retired from Lake City Ammunition. She married Richard B. Hendren on June 9, 1957.

Janet is survived by daughters: Kathy (Ted) Ford of Independence, MO, Penny (Craig) Blevins of Blue Springs, MO; son: Richard (Sherie) Hendren of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Nicholas, Jeremy, Alex, Gabriel, Morgan, Gustave, Garth; great-grandchildren: Austin, Tevyn, Logan, Ely, Andrew, Sophia; sisters: Linda and Sandy both of Independence.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years, 2 brothers, 2 sisters.
