Janie Lee Stark, 67, of Flemington, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Sni Mills Cemetery, south of Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Janie was born August 15, 1946 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of James L. and Lucille (Stephenson) Amos. She was a manager for the Kansas City branch of the IRS, retiring in 2002. Janie enjoyed cooking, making crafts, crocheting, spending winters in Texas, and especially spending time with her family.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James T. Kuhn, who passed away in 2008.
Her survivors include two daughters, Sherri Goessele & Diane Points, both of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, James A. Amos & Butch Amos, both of Odessa, MO; one sister, Linda Severe of Odessa; grandson, Jacob & Erin Miller of Kansas City; two great-grandchildren, Jemma & Rex Amos Miller; and several nieces, nephews, & other family.
