Jason Todd Jennings, 54, of Oak Grove, Missouri, son of Sue Alexander and chosen father, Brad Alexander, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 29th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions for Jason’s nieces may be made in care of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
Jason was born October 2, 1965, in Warrensburg, Missouri. His mother, Sue, was a business teacher at OGHS for 36 years while Brad served the community 7 years on the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and 22 years as Alderman for Ward II on the City Council. Jason graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1984. He attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg where he graduated with a BS Degree in Photography/Communications. He was able to spend a semester in Scotland as part of a Student Exchange program. Jason’s interests include fishing, gardening, coin collecting, photography, and spending time with family. He also enjoyed looking for that “hidden treasure” at various estate sales.
Jason is survived by Sue and Brad of Oak Grove; Aunt Judy Black and family in Colorado; Aunt Jeanne Alexander and family of Oak Grove; and 3 little princesses: Cydney, Gracie, and Chloey Alexander of Oak Grove.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Jennings; and grandparents: Fred & Evelyn Fogerson, Emery & Mary Jennings, and Jack & Freda Alexander.
