Jeffrey Lloyd Smetana Sr., 56, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16th at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs. Funeral services will be held in Maryland at a later date, along with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Dundalk, MD. Jeffrey was born July 9, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Robert J. and Vivian M. (Lloyd) Smetana Sr.
His survivors include his wife Teres Smetana of the home; three sons: Erik L. Smetana of York, PA, Joshua R. Smetana & Jeffrey L. Smetana Jr., both of the home; his mother: Vivian M. Smetana of Cambridge, MD; three brothers: Robert J. Smetana & wife Patti of Elm Grove, LA, Gary N. Smetana & wife Elizabeth of Florence SC, & Mark W. Smetana & wife Jean of Huntingtown, MD; one sister: Michele Townsley & husband Greg of Fleetwood, PA; twelve nephews and seven nieces.
