Joe Lloyd Haney, 85 of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 21st, 2025 at home. Born on January 9, 1940 in Independence, MO.
He was a devoted husbandand family man, known for his love his family, old trucks, classic cars & antiques. You could find Joe at any given Thursday night gathering with friends & their classic cars & trucks. Joe graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1958.
Joe is survived by the love of his life, his wife of over 63 years Marilyn Sue Haney (Worsham). His son Michael Haney (Juanita), his daughter Rebecca Haney, grandchildren Matthew Fischer (Haney) (Chelsea), Joshua Gregg (Krista) Jason Haney (Laura), Joseph Gregg, Amanda Haney (Tyler), Brandie Haney (Josh), and Nick Haney (Lindsey), and brother David Haney. Joe was preceded in death by his father Edsel Earl Haney & mother Mary Estelle Haney (Booker).
A funeral/celebration of life will be held for Joe on Friday December 26th at Royer Funeral Home 1823 N Blue Mills Road, Independence, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. with the funeral following immediately.
