John Elliott Cross, 65, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1st at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Koger Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 28th at the funeral home.
John was born April 7, 1945 in Independence, Missouri, the son of John W. and Erma (Elliott) Cross. He married Sharon Tesch on July 10, 1964. John was a carpenter for Glen-O’Brien Moveable Partitions for 40 years. He was a member of Carpenter Union 61 and was an avid conservationist & hunter.
John was preceded in death by his father, John William “Bud” Cross.
His survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon T. Cross of the home; two sons: Eric & Deanna Cross, and Jason & Rhonda Cross; seven grandchildren: Ethan, Ryan, Melynda & Addison Cross, and Garrett, Ashton & Autumn Cross, all of Oak Grove; and his mother: Erma Cross of Independence, MO.
