John Franklin Laster Sr., 74, Oak Grove, died June 14, 2012, at his home. He was born February 24, 1938, in Kansas City, the son of Lloud and Marie Laster.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn, of the home; a son, Edwin, Oak Grove; a son and wife, John Jr. (Nancy), San Antonio, TX; a son and wife, Patrick (Stephanie), Lee’s Summit; six grandchildren, Nicole, Megan and husband (Jeffrey), Cameron, Dane, Wesley, Michael and wife (Amber), three great-grandchildren, Ries, Rian and Jordan; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Laster, Independence; a niece and husband, Leslie Burton (Dean), Independence. Visitation Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. Memorial Service at 11 a.m. to be held at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection: 1433 NW RD Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Church of the Resurrection.
