Johnnie Lee Creed, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13th at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
Johnnie was born August 25, 1940, in Stigler, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roland and Wanda L. (Dunn) Sageser. She was an Engineer Associate at AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1989. She was then a Master Tax Advisor at H&R Block for 25 years, retiring in 2015. Johnnie enjoyed traveling, country music, and playing the slots. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Johnnie was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Wilburn “Chief” Creed; one brother, Donald Sageser; and one sister: Nona Jones.
Her survivors include two daughters, Tracy (Jim) Jackson of Kansas City, MO, and Kelly (Wilson) Austin of Manhattan, KS; one son, Terry (Tracy) Creed of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren: Tony, Teryn, Andi, Sammie, Chey, Jamie, & Raven; five great-grandchildren: Dalton, Eliana, King, Ryan, Angelica, & numerous others who she considered grandchildren; two brothers: Tom (Mary) Butcher of Liberty, MO, and Jack (Mary Jane) Sageser of Carthage, MO; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, & friends.
