Jonathan Wade White, 54, of Grain Valley, MO passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2012 after a long, remarkable battle with brain cancer. Jonathan was born August 1, 1957, to Audean and John White of Oak Grove, MO.
He lived life to the fullest, he loved those who came across his path, he took great pleasure in being able to fulfill a need, and he was always there for you when needed him.
Growing up in Oak Grove, he quickly became an outdoorsman. Hunting and farming with his grandpa, fishing with his dad, taking long road trips with his family, playing sports with his classmates, and sleeping under the stars with his sister were just a few activities he embraced as a kid.
June 27th, 1982 marked the beginning of Jonathan and Denise’s life together. Thirty years of marriage only brought them closer together as they lived life united through challenges and embraced one another through the good times that soon followed. He had two sons, Sheldon Nadeau of Olathe, KS, and Jamie Nadeau of Oak Grove, MO. Both Sheldon and Jamie much like their dad were very active in sports, and Jonathan never missed an event and often coached.
Professionally, Jonathan worked as an air traffic controller for the FAA. He loved talking to pilots, and he really enjoyed the great relationships he built with other controllers in the various facilities he was positioned. He was actively working on 9/11/01 and received a commendation for his service to his county as the FAA promptly grounded all flights.
His survivors include his wife of 30 years, Denise White; two sons and their wives: Sheldon and Laura Nadeau, Jamie and Kelly Nadeau; five grandchildren: Isabella, Emmerson, Katelynn, Jayden, and Gavin; his parents: John and Audean White; sister and her husband: Dana and Jay Johnson and numerous extended family members (you know who you are).
