Jordan Arron Rodriguez, 15, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for an education fund for the girls.
Jordan was born November 5, 2002, in Overland Park, Kansas. He was a student at Oak Grove Middle School and a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. He loved his family and friends. Jordan loved to go to the lake, ride 4-wheelers, play video games, watch movies, and be outdoors. He loved sports, especially basketball. Jordan had a kind heart and always put other people first. His compassion and positive outlook on life were always noticeable. He had a contagious smile and everyone who met him loved him. Jordan’s journey may be complete here on earth, but he will remain in the hearts of those that knew him forever.
Jordan is survived by his mother, Jennifer Bales (Jake) of Oak Grove; his father, Arron Rodriguez of Independence, MO; sisters, Amery and Karli Bales; brother, Parker Rodriguez; sister, Anastasia Howard; maternal grandparents, Jim and Becky Bales of Blue Springs, MO, and Thomas Meyer of Tightwad, MO; paternal grandfather, Johnny “Poppy” Rodriguez of Independence; and uncle, Chris Rodriguez of Independence. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carol Rodriguez.
