Judith C. Billups

Judith Carol Billups, 78, died Sunday, December 19, 2021 at her home in Grain Valley, MO.  Visitation will be held at Royer Funeral Homes 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, MO. 64029 on December 22, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  The funeral service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church 1950 SW Eagles Pkwy, Grain Valley, MO 64029 on December 23, 2021 at 11 am.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Louis L Billups; her sons, Christopher L Billups and his wife Romelyn Billups and Shawn M Billups; her daughter, Stacha L Crocker and her husband Jeremy Crocker; her five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many close family and friends.

Born in Mussel Fork, MO and spending most of her childhood years in Salisbury, MO, the daughter of Gilbert and Jessie Roy, a long time resident of the state of Missouri.  She was one of five sisters that loved her deeply; Phyllis, Wanda, Joyce and Norma.   When she graduated from high school in 1961, she moved to Brunswick, MO where she met her loving husband, Louis L Billups. She spent most of her adult years as a wonderful wife and mother to her family.  Our family was so blessed to have her in our lives.  Every day, she would do 110% for everyone she knew.  She was the best person that you would hope to ever meet.  She was a giving and caring person to everyone she met, always looking out for their needs above her own.  Her love for baking would put a smile on everyone’s face that would try her food.  Later in life, she developed a desire to make crafts.  For many years, she honed her technique and became quite skillful at her hobby. She was a very strong woman, but nothing was stronger than her faith in her Lord.  She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Grain Valley, MO. She loved going to church and being near her church family.  Her struggle with cancer and the pandemic made it very difficult to spend time with them.  She always knew that she was in their hearts and thoughts while taking great comfort from their prayers.  We all know she is back home with her Lord, celebrating her new life in heaven.

  1. Judy was definitely one of a kind. Her love for her family and friends was evident in everything she did. We know she is in a better place, but we will miss her so much. Judy “strong” was the bracelet we all wore to honor her faith and strength during her fight with cancer. Forever in our hearts. Love you dear sis.

  2. Your family has my thoughts and prayers. I am unable to attend the funeral because I am scheduled for surgery.
