Judith “Judie” Jane Yardley, 71, Trenton, MO died February 25, 2015. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, 205 SW 17th St., Blue Springs.
Judie loved to camp. She always woke early and made pancakes in the morning for anyone who stopped by the campsite. She worked as a barber at Mr. B’s and later as a dispatcher at Laundry Equipment Services, both in Kansas City. She and her husband owned a restaurant in Milan, MO. She volunteered for the Independence Fraternal Order of Police and the Fort Osage Indians Athletic Association.
Judie was born on September 28, 1943 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rita (Powers) Hite, her daughter Christina Hanson, and her sister Charlene Guyette.
Judie is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gerald Yardley; her children: Kelly Humiston (Bill), Carrie Gardner (John), Gregory Farmer (Nikki), Brian Farmer (Tawyna), Eric Farmer, Troy Yardley (Tara) and Troy Kessner (Michele); her 18 grandchildren: Shannon and Ian Humiston, Dane and Eli Gardner, Charlie, Sean, Samantha, Kirsten and Kinsey Farmer, Bryce and Camden Farmer, Emily, Tori, and Kaylea Farmer, Kadence and Mason Yardley, and Danielle and Ty Kessner; and her 4 great-grandchildren: Autumn, Emerson, Jayden, and Brookelynn.
Judie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife. She will be missed.
