Judy M. Wollenberg


Judy Mae Wollenberg, age 76, lifelong resident of Independence, MO, passed away November 22, 2019 at the home. Private graveside services for immediate family will be set at a later date.  Donations in Judy’s memory may be sent to Kansas City Hospice Foundation, KCHPC 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, Ste. 200, Kansas City, MO 64114.

Judy was born February 8, 1943 in Independence, MO. She was the daughter of Joarch and Dorothy Charlton and sister to Clara Jo Wiser. She was a loving wife, married to Clemual Wollenberg for over sixty years.  Judy and Clem’s friendship, partnership, and respect for one another never wavered.  They stood together through all things, good and bad.  Their life together was a true pillar of love. Judy was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother, always devoted to her family. Judy never lost her sense of humor or ability to laugh, even in the face of adversity.

She is survived by her husband of over sixty years, Clemual Wollenberg; sister Clara Jo Wiser of North Carolina; three children, Tamera Tims and Christina Tanner both of Independence, MO, and Robert Wollenberg of Peculiar, MO; five grandchildren: Bryan Tims, Christopher Wollenberg, Rachel Morris, Elise Gal, Emily Hood; Great-grandchildren: Cinnamon Cain, Peyton Tims, Ethan Morris, Trinity Morris, Emma Wollenberg, Evelyn Hood, Lucille Hood, Wallace Wollenberg; Great-great grandson Beau Davis.

Memories of Judy will be cherished and never forgotten.  The bonds and values she passed to her family have always stood strong.  No one would have thought that the first time fourteen-year-old Clem saw thirteen-year-old Judy at the bowling alley that so much good would come.
